Delete your account and data
Most people never create an account. Reading the Bible in the App does not create a cloud user. This page is for (1) wiping the phone copy and (2) deleting an optional Together account on the standard flavor.
A. Delete data on the phone (no Together account)
- In the App: delete Ask chats you created; Settings → Data can export a backup first if you want a copy.
- Settings → Data → Reset Bible reading progress clears reading checkmarks and rewards on the device. Bookmarks, notes, highlights, and personal plans are not removed by that button.
- Android Settings → Apps → King James 1611 Assistant → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the App. Uninstall removes local Room data, encrypted chats, diagnostics, Together tokens, and LMCloud secrets stored in the App sandbox.
Clearing data / uninstall does not delete a Together cloud account. JSON backups you saved outside the App (for example in Downloads) remain until you delete those files yourself.
B. Delete a Together account (cloud)
Together uses email-and-password Auth on Supabase (standard flavor only). The official deletion path is in the App:
- Turn Online Mode on and sign in to Together if you are not already signed in.
- Open Settings → Data.
- Tap Delete my Together data on the server.
- Read the warning about Together account deletion, then confirm a second time.
The same Settings → Data screen also links this website (directly above the app version). The App then deletes the Auth user and cascaded Together rows (profile, groups you own, membership, prayers, badge copies). It shows an automated message: the files should be deleted, but the App cannot verify they are gone because there is no data of you left to look up. Sign in to create a new Together account, or message the team (chat on this site) if you want a person to confirm deletion.
If you cannot use the in-app button, write in this website’s chat: “Please delete my Together account” and the exact email used to sign up. We will verify control of that email if needed.
Timeline: we aim to complete deletion within 30 days of a verified request (sooner when possible). Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups or logs for a limited period until those rotate, or longer if the law requires (for example an active legal hold).
What deletion cannot undo:
- Other members’ devices may still show your display name in an old local cache until they refresh.
- If you were owner of a group, members lose that group when ownership rows cascade; export anything you need first.
- Prayers you posted are deleted with your account. They leave the invite group and the public Site prayer wall after those copies refresh. The wall never stored your name.
- Site Tawk chats are separate; ask us to delete those transcripts too if you used the widget.
- Hugging Face, the gated Cloudflare model Worker, and your own LMCloud PC are not Together account databases; delete downloaded model files on the phone yourself if you want them gone.
C. If you only want to leave a group
Ask a group admin to Kick you, or use in-app leave controls if shown. That is not account deletion. A ban prevents joining that group until Unban. A kicked member may be restored with Unkick without creating a new Auth user.
D. F-Droid builds
The F-Droid flavor has no Together client. There is no Together account to delete. Uninstall is enough for App data on that install.
